Caro's Counselling Service
A safe, non-judgemental, constructive space to help you explore, understand and process whatever is holding you back in life
What I offer
I aim to work supportively and sensitively, cultivating a compassionate inquisitive approach, building a fundamentally therapeutic relationship. I value enabling you to feel met in a safe and trusting relationship, as a foundation for exploring whatever you may be struggling with, that is holding you back from finding peace and fulfilment in life.
My basic training was Integrative Counselling: a Person-centred approach with tools from Psychodynamic (past influences) and CBT (linking thoughts, emotions & behaviour) approaches.
However, I have a passion for, and have more recently trained in, Somatic therapy - Focusing and Embodied Processing - using the felt sense of the body, memory and the imagination - to allow access to your subconscious to inform your therapeutic journey. Therefore, if this appeals to you,we can jointly agree to try these techniques as we go. For more about it - see this short video about What is our Somatic Identity.
